Why do we love our pets so much?

Why do we love our pets so much?

Majority of people have a pet. It can be any animal, but the most common ones are cats and dogs of course. And it is amazing how we fall in love with them and they fall in love with us.
People who don’t have any, don’t understand that bond and the connection between an owner and a pet. And what is even sweeter is that we don’t see them as pets, they become our family.
Why do we love them so much? For example there are some cases where you have a married couple and a dog and one of them claims that they receive more love from their pet than from their partner.
Then you have a case where you lose someone you love, a family member and then that person buys a dog/cat or any other animal (unless they already have one) and they usually say that they wouldn’t have survived if they didn’t buy have that pet by their side.
They can really heal our pain, maybe not right away, but in time you starting to feel better and it’s all because of them.
We love them because they are sometimes clumsy, funny and goofy and they keep entertaining us with their cute and silly personalities.
We love them because they would never betray us and at the end of the day, if we feel alone, they will feel it and find a way to comfort us in their own, special way.
